About the event
After the impact of the COVID-19 economic crisis, growth forecasts point to a recovery in the coming years.
However, there is uncertainty about the pace in 2021 and 2022, a year in which a global economic slowdown would be observed.
The forecasts will undergo modifications as the vaccination process progresses, as well as the new measures that governments take to deal with the new strain of coronavirus. The median forecast is for a contraction of 9.1% for 2020, while for this year the consensus says that growth of 3.5% will be recorded and the first data available from financial institutions point to a financial expansion of 2.5% in 2022.
